Android Migration: Touch Enabling vs. Modernization

Posted by Christian Blunschi on May 15, 2019 11:09:30 PM

There has been a great deal of noise circulating around the marketplace concerning the looming end-of-support for Windows CE and Windows Mobile. As a result, customers are anxious about moving to an Android platform because of a lack of support for legacy applications.

On the surface, this seems to be a valid assumption, but the truth is, there have been options available to migrate to Android for several years now. In less than 10 years, Android has evolved in a marketplace to become the OS of choice on almost 90% of all mobile devices. With such an uptake rate, the idea that Android adoption is the key roadblock to device adoption seems absurd.

Posted by Randy Provence on Aug 30, 2018 8:39:49 AM

Managing Your Terminal Emulation Applications the Right Way

Mobile Device Management (MDM) is a critical part of any enterprise warehouse operation, especially in managing and securing large numbers of mobile devices (StayLinked is a proud SOTI partner). It simplifies the security and management of multi-vendor, multi form-factor and multi-operating devices in a multi-purpose mobility ecosystem. And when it comes to managing Terminal Emulation, spending time on unnecessary hurdles to manage and update software can waste time, human resources, and money.
