We are proud to announce that StayLinked continued its impressive growth in 2019 by recording another year of double-digit increase in revenues and strengthened its presence in the European market with an astounding 51% increase in revenues from the previous year.
Padraig Regan, General Manager of StayLinked Europe and Director of StayLinked Labs, confirms that 2019 was a hugely successful year which continued to strengthen StayLinked's reputation in the region. “We’ve been increasingly successful over the years as our reputation for delivering great products and customer service has grown.” He continues, “The numbers are great, but we're not driven by them. We're building strong relationships with our channel partners, manufacturers and ISVs. We're innovating and collaborating continually. We're being acknowledged as industry influencers and leaders. We're building for the future and the nice thing is that growth and market share will come with that. It's a very exciting time to be at StayLinked.”
End-of-Life of Extended Support for Windows Embedded 6.5
A few months ago, I wrote a blog post about the most effective and efficient approach to migrating to Android devices, and how there was a great deal of noise in the marketplace concerning the looming end-of-support for Windows CE and Windows Mobile. This week it finally happened, a culmination of rolling end-of-life notices that have been ongoing for the last year and a half. And when the last of those days finally came, a distinctive millennium bug-like silence was in the air as the moment device manufacturers and software companies have been warning us about for the past few years came and went quietly.
As you may have read recently, StayLinked and Zebra have officially announced the release of SmartTEK, the highly-anticipated Android solution for TekTerm users currently available on select Zebra devices. SmartTEK is the culmination of hard work from both teams which has resulted in a clear migration path to Android for TekTerm customers. Because TekTerm is a well-established product whose architecture can accommodate various installation configurations, we also understand that this solution evokes a number of questions from our partners around the globe.
On November 1, 2019, StayLinked and Zebra Technologies officially released SmartTEK to support TekTerm TE for Android™-based Zebra mobile computers. SmartTEK provides customers a migration path to easily transition their legacy devices to more modern, feature-rich mobile computers. Zebra will be offering the StayLinked SmartTEK solution for customers using MIS/TekRF solutions who want to migrate to Android allowing customers with SAP and IBM host applications to run on Zebra Android devices. The SmartTEK solution is also a replacement for customers using MIS/TekRF to emulate SAP applications, IBM 5250 and 3270, and VT emulations.
As the leaders of innovative terminal emulation solutions for the supply chain industry, StayLinked once again recorded impressive growth in 2018 with a 44% increase in license revenues and further expansion into the European market.
StayLinked continued to strengthen its presence in EMEA with the hiring of Guido Grefen as Technical Account Manager to take on collaboration with channel partners, device manufacturers, and application providers. The move comes as a response to increased demand for StayLinked products in Europe, where companies are continuing to migrate from legacy Terminal Emulation to the reliability and security of the StayLinked architecture and SmartTE application modernization.
Managing Your Terminal Emulation Applications the Right Way
Mobile Device Management (MDM) is a critical part of any enterprise warehouse operation, especially in managing and securing large numbers of mobile devices (StayLinked is a proud SOTI partner). It simplifies the security and management of multi-vendor, multi form-factor and multi-operating devices in a multi-purpose mobility ecosystem. And when it comes to managing Terminal Emulation, spending time on unnecessary hurdles to manage and update software can waste time, human resources, and money. A software management approach that introduces unnecessary steps can compromise productivity and create headaches for your IT department. With StayLinked's integrated server solution, you have complete control. If any change needs to be made, all devices across the enterprise are updated, in real-time without deploying a single file, and without having to rely on additional software. In fact, when evaluating an enterprise-grade Terminal Emulation solution, we highly recommend asking these questions:
StayLinked Corporation, the leader in modern Terminal Emulation solutions, and Bluebird, a leader in warehouse mobile computing, announced today that they are now working together to offer StayLinked software on Bluebird’s series of ruggedized handheld computers, featuring the Bluebird EF400, a pocket-sized touch mobile computer for rugged environments.
StayLinked and Cognex Corporation are proud to announce that we are now working together to offer StayLinked software on the Cognex series of ruggedized handheld computers, featuring the MX-1502 Series vision-enabled mobile terminal, the MX-1000 Series mobile barcode reader for rugged environments.
