A Strategic Partnership with DAP Technologies
StayLinked Corporation, today's premier provider of terminal emulation and related software technologies, announces a strategic partnership with DAP Technologies.
As a leader in computing devices for rugged environments, DAP will pre-load StayLinked software on several of its devices, offering a robust, out-of-the-box solution for customers who need the reliability and flexibility of the combination of the two technology sets. The partnership is part of the StayLinked Ready™ program, which ensures that products are tested and ready for customer environments.
Some of the key benefits of the partnership include greatly simplified Windows 7 and Windows 8 support, as well as unified client management, negating the need for version control. Initially, StayLinked software will be pre-loaded on select DAP tablets, including models M9010, M9700, and MT1010. These tablets are frequently used in Warehousing, Logistics, and Manufacturing operations, where the utilization of StayLinked technology is leveraged for increased efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
"We have seen the successful use of StayLinked with DAP devices in many of our mutual customers," states Eric Miller, Vice President, Worldwide Sales at DAP. "It is a natural extension to recognize our combined strength and formalize the relationship. We like the fact that StayLinked software matches the attributes of our rugged devices to deliver an unmatched level of reliability in challenging environments. This, combined with simplified management of the system by adopting the StayLinked way of communicating between the devices and the host system, will address the needs of people on the front lines, as well as those responsible for keeping these systems up and running."
Justin Griffith, Director of Product Management for StayLinked, echoes the strength of the partnership.
"As organizations continue to increase their reliance on mobile devices for capturing remote data, the DAP tablets provide immediate benefits for existing users, and expands the potential use cases that require the larger form factor of a tablet. We are also excited about the forthcoming Android support, which will expand our capabilities to additional DAP devices."
